Experienced Tax Preparer Lead – ATAX Omaha

Location: Papillion, NE
Pay: $25 – $40 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-time; flexible; increased hours during Tax Season
Work Location: In-Person (Omaha-based office)

ATAX Omaha is seeking a seasoned tax professional to help lead preparation efforts and support our growing team. We are sourcing candidates in the Papillion, NE area. This role is based in our Omaha office and is ideal for someone who enjoys both advanced tax work and mentoring others.

About the Role
You’ll prepare and review complex returns while serving as a go-to resource for preparers during tax season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns
  • Assist with tax planning, credits, and deductions
  • Support and guide junior preparers
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance across filings
  • Provide professional client support as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax preparation experience
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations
  • Ability to lead and support others
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with tax software (Drake Tax preferred)
