Tax Manager – ATAX Omaha

Location: Bellevue, NE (work performed at our Omaha office)
Pay: $90,000 – $115,000 per year (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week); flexible, with some weekends during tax season

About the Role

ATAX Omaha is seeking an experienced Tax Manager. We are sourcing candidates in Bellevue, NE. Based in our Omaha office, you will help lead operations, ensuring high-quality, compliant tax preparation in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and oversee individual and business tax returns
• Support daily office operations and workflow management
• Mentor and assist tax preparers and support staff
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Serve as a point of contact for complex client questions or issues
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain accuracy under deadlines

Qualifications

• Experience in tax preparation, accounting, or financial services
• Prior leadership or senior preparer experience preferred
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with tax preparation software (Drake Tax experience a plus)
