Tax Preparer – ATAX Omaha

Location: Bellevue, NE (work performed at our Omaha office)
Pay: $17 – $25 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: 32–40 hours/week; flexible; some weekends during Tax Season
Work Location: In-person (Omaha office)

About the Role

ATAX Omaha is seeking a Tax Processing Agent to work primarily with clients in the Bellevue area. Based in our Omaha office, you’ll prepare accurate individual and business tax returns while supporting a friendly, client-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns
• Meet with clients to gather information and explain tax matters
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to IRS guidelines
• Assist with documents, forms, and basic tax-related inquiries
• Deliver a professional and helpful client experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of tax preparation experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines
• Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., Drake Tax preferred)
• Positive, enthusiastic personality and a desire to grow
